And a short video about one 11.9 second run. Doesn't even lift the wheel without turbos . And that steering does some strange moves when turning... Whoops! 60 ft times were around 1.6 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZppujef1O0&feature=youtu.be

16 ladder elimination today and Jyrki took a red light at semi final and we lost to Janne Noren's Chevy powered '34 Ford! 11.859 / 175,69 was best the normally aspirated Y could do with non ported heads and about 10.4 to 1 compression. Seven runs this weekend and three 0.001 sec reactions. All runs in 11.859 to 12.004 range and all top speeds within 173 to 176 km/h! One race weekend to go this year... http://kuvia.1g.fi/#/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2013/FHRA/Blåkläder+August+Nats/Sunday/MOP_2559.jpghttp://kuvia.1g.fi/#/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2013/FHRA/Blåkläder+August+Nats/Saturday/MOP_1756.jpghttp://kuvia.1g.fi/#/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2013/FHRA/Blåkläder+August+Nats/Saturday/MOP_1755.jpghttp://kuvia.1g.fi/#/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2013/FHRA/Blåkläder+August+Nats/Saturday/mop1+(177).jpg

We were preparing our dragster today for the next event on coming saturday and with Jyrki's old normally aspirated engine. Some problems occurred during the cam break in as the distributor gear pin was broken and we didn't realize that before the engine warmed up and started running badly. The gear spinned over the axle and ignition advance got screwed! That breakage happened at the last race where our turbo engine destroyed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvGmUd4mQns&feature=c4-overview&list=UUxZ94DRcBfpz0DstGIV1_QASo, tomorrow we will install a new pin and do some more tuning and then go for the hunt of high 10's or low 11's .

Looks like camshaft and lifters are ok and pushrods and roller rockers too. Crankshaft has to be measured and possibly #1 and #5 rod journal have to be grind to undersize 2.100. Other journals might be ok with only polishing. So, we only need one block machined, heads fitted with larger valves, one new piston and two connecting rods to build a new engine. And oil pump and shaft ...

Ditto on Charlies WOW! If you keep breaking them like that we'll have to put you in touch with Pat in Texas. He splits the blocks completley. Somehow I don't expect you to find much useable out of that one. Good luck though. I hope this dosen't put you off racing. It is an expensive hobby though. Chuck
