I listed some Y parts to sell/give away a few days ago. These are some of many parts I am going thru of my Dads stuff. Had a fellow by the name of Rono in Freeport Maine ask for the flywheel. I shiped it to him. He get the part and starts complaining about it . Including what it cost to ship it. That was all I wanted to recover. I am no mechanic and all he could do was complain about the flywheel. Now he doesnt want to pay for the shipping.

I guess due to the experience with this I will throw away the rest of the parts.

BE AWARE OF THIS WHEN YOU SELL PARTS TO RONO! MAYBE YOU SHOULD SELL/GIVE PARTS TO OTHER GUYS ON THIS SITE.

@ Birdman55

I happen to be the one that was contacting your dad and your mother when your dad was going through his bout with cancer. I am a preacher and pastor, and had made plans to visit your father on my next trip to NC. All of my relatives live either in Walkertown or Mt Airy... I do visit on occasion. From what I know of your father (his name was Earl, right?), he was a great man, and one to be respected. When you began posting here, you shared the same sentiments with us on this website. Please don't let something like this misunderstanding allow you to blow your top to your father's buddies on this site. If you're my age or younger, you know about all of the other forums and blogs that are out there that contain "user bashing" almost on a daily basis. Frankly, I get tired of that. This is a site where it is RARE to see that happen, if at all. Throwing away the things that connected your father to his life and his memories just ain't good sense, pardon my English. Come on, let's honor your father here.

And no, I have no stake in any of your parts nor am I after making money off of your dad's belongings. Wink

@ Ron

Reminds me of what happened to me about 2 years ago when someone else began posting publicly a little too soon. The internet at times can be a place where the "gentleman's agreement" is forgotten and people post quickly per their emotions. The fella that posted quite a bit about me eventually deleted the thread after I contacted him privately to rectify any situation. Most of us know who you are on this site anyway and further know that your reputation has not been damaged. Maybe Birdman will lend an ear?

Sometimes I have trouble understanding people. You get something basicly for free( cost of shipping) and then complain like you paid a lot of money for it. There is an old saying that some people would complain if you gave them a free funeral. Guess it still is true. When I die there is a lot of my stuff that my wife and kids will consder to be junk. My advice to everyone is to make sure your family knows what your "junk" is worth, and how to dispose of it to people will appreciate it. I, for one, would rather have my "junk" given to someone that would appreciate it rather than trash it. I would also hope that whoever they gave it to would not complain about the quality of free "junk". As I have gotten older I am in the habit of labeling my "junk" and puting a value on it so my family will have some idea of what is there and what it actualy is. None of us will get out of here alive so we may as well try to make things a little easier for those who have to clean up the mess that we leave. No matter how well we plan there will be somewhat of a mess.

I'm quite sure "birdman" has had an eyefull. He is a younger fellow that ended up with his dad's collection of parts after he passed away. One of the key ingredients in this would be intent.
I am sure there was no intent to defraud or scam anyone. One suggestion is that situation like this be resolved via EMAIL or private message. Then when things are settled you don't have to read all of our comments. Take life a bit slower its not worth the hurry. Chuck

Actually now that this situation has been resolved perhaps the thread would be better served if deleted? Jim/Ted?

Y's guys rule!
Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.
