My summer /winter project is recommencement of 57 ranchero, got the body straight and in primer 5 yrs back, after looking at it for 3 days, i,ve got the clip off it and removed all unnecessary things from f/wall, undreneath, prior to having under car and frame blasted to clean it up. The list of unexpected additional work is starting to grow, but thats the nature of the beast. Will be 312, Mcculloch, orig O/D, at this stage. Will get some pics soon.

I am turning a 54 ranch wagon into a 54 tudor Merc wagon, since Merc never made a tudor wagon in 54, I should have the only one.

Mine are to do most of the things I didn't do over last winter. Get some heat flowing through the heater core, get the speedometer fixed, install halogen headlights, restore the hard top, get the permanent exhaust system in, and get the power brake booster operational. My problem is I don't have a home yet to do any of these projects. My car remains in a U-storage unit while we continue our search for an adequate garage....er...ummm.... home.

I'll put the final touches on the 58 ranchero, finish headliner & interior. Pull trans to fix oil leak and install Hurst mystery shifter I found, paint 292 correct colors. Cover it till spring and get back after the 57 project.
thanks, Mark

So today i parked my car in the garage for the winter, i guess it is not far away. It was hard time, this is the first time since 1991 the car was on the road. I was just a baby, laying in the back seat when my mom was cruising around in 1991. Literally, i am borned in that old ford. so much memorys, so much fun to drive that car this summer. gotta love it, i have Y block in my blood Robin Norway

Have a lot of things planned for my Custom300 over the winter. Need some paint work on the hood, right fender & door. After I pull those off, the engine comes out, a little detail work on the engine bay, then go to work on the new engine now sitting in the back room of my house. I had a 272 bored to 292 for the Jahns pistons I picked up last year. Found a pair of G heads over the summer that had the exhaust ports opened up a bit that I'm sending out to have shaved, new seats & valves installed. I have a pretty hot CompCam for it (can't recall the specs), Rollmaster timing set, Isky push rods, 1.5 rocker arms & my Edelbrock 3X2 manifold on top. Don't know how it run but it should sound good.
