OK, I fired her off this afternoon, had babies crying and old ladies cussing in the neighborhood! This thing sounds awesome through the fenderwell headers, I have a vidio from Ted's on the dyno, but that was through mufflers and ever though it sounds good, it just ain't the same as open exhaust. Unfortunately I have too pull it back out, dang front pump leaking. I put a new seal in it, but I'm thinking that I must have nicked it when I was pulling the converter so many times trying to get the spacers worked out. More later

That is a story of it's own. The pics and vidio from Ted are on a disk, the disk drive has died in my machine. I gave the disk to my son to copy to a tumb drive, he has not returned it yet. When I get it back, I'll post some of the engine build pic's but I don't know how to post a vidio. I may have to snail mail it to Charlie or Tim and let them post it. If you ain't figured it out yet, I am dumb as dirt when it comes to computers.

By the way James, congrad's on that great find you told me about yesterday.

On a side note, the HRM Power Tour stopped in Montgomery yesterday. My buddy and I went up and stomped around for a couple of hours. Alot of late model stuff, a few rat rods, several classic mustangs, and two super nice 57 fords, a couple of baby birds, and a 55 crown vic. All had later engines but thank goodness they were ford engines, not scrubs.

The kit comes with some stud adapters that are used with a stock dia converter, but since I am running a 10" 3500 stall, I had to come up with a way to adapt it. Thus the alum spacers that sandwich the converter to the flexplate. If anyone is ever in a simular situation, let me know. I had to pay for a cad program to cut the plates on a waterjet, but the shop that I used has them on file now so the next batch should be cheaper.

Glen, I have almost identical combination in my wagon with Flat-o-Matic adapter. Look my solution:

OK, I got my Y Block mag today and it was suggested by Bill and Bob Martin that it was time for a update. I have plans of an artical for the mag if I ever get around to it.

I have driven the car around the yard a few times and today even got it out on a back street. I ran into a problem with getting the driveshaft cut. The guy that does it at the local driveline shop had heart surgery and was out of work for awhile. I got the shaft back last week. Next was sorting out the wiring for the elec water pump and fan and getting the line loc plumbed and wired. Still not satisfied with the brakes, I may have to install a brake bias valve to get  enough front brake in it. Still have to wire in the trans brake. I ordered the seat belts and a new helmet today, should be in Sat. Just finishing up a few small details, but they all seem to cost money. I had planned on loading it up and taking it to the local scales and weighing it tomorrow, but I have a good friend in the hospital that I need to go see, so I will most likely do that next week.

Good to hear about the progress Glen!  Sorry to hear about your friends, the car will be there but your friends are # 1.  I wish you and them the best.

Thanks Tim, sadly my friend (actually my ex sister in law) pasted last night. We were as close as if we had been blood related even after all these years. She will be missed, but tonight she is pain free and in a much better place. Cancer is such an evil thing, maybe someday a cure will be found.
