Thanks Guys, Charlie the hood was a challenge and a pain in the ass.

 

The only aftermarket one that I could find did not have the scoop and was more than I wanted to pay plus it would have had truck freight added, over $600 total and I would have still had to add the scoop. So with more time than money, I just build my own, not perfect, but it turned out OK for a race car.

Wow, you have really come along with that great looking Falcon.  I like the hood very much.  I bet it is as functional as it is nostalgic.  Those hoods always screamed FORD.

I decided to go ahead and add the picture before I get timed out. I have spent the last month building the fiberglass hood and if you notice just in front of the rear slicks, I had to open up the wheel wells a bit to clear the 30 X 9 slicks. Still need to touch up the paint.

Ted has been given the go ahead on the engine, it should be ready by early spring. I am working on the C4 trans now, and plan on pulling the rearend next week to complete it. I have decided to add a back brace to the housing and have a new Moser full spool to replace the 28 spline mini in it now,(thanks Santa). I plan on ordering a set of Moser axles next week. I'll hopefully be able to give more details on the engine in the next few weeks.
