Frank, I'll be 70 on April 6th are you younger or older? I bought a '54 Ford Convert in Sept '58 and slipped a 312 in it in July of '59. You would think we all would learn some new tricks by now

What an antique thread we dug up. I must be one of the most seasoned guys on here. I was 18 the year my '56 F350 was built. I bought my first Y block about 1959 and have owned and built a few over the years. Just got the 272 back in the F350, did the initial break in run up and all is well. I did a lot more to it than I had originally planned but darn it was fun. Looking forward to getting it back on the road.

68 in May, 2012. First car was a 45 Dodge 1/2 Ton pickup followed by a 41 scrub 4 door sedan. Pitted at the Kansas City area dirt tracks on a modified with a Hudson 308 6 banger in it. FAST! Bought a 57 Ford Convertible in 1959 and never went back. During the military years I owned a 66 Fairlane GT convertible, a 1969 Fairlane Cobra (Super Cobra Jet 428) and a 1966 Mustang GT 350H. Bought my current 56 Vicky in EL Paso, Texas in 1986. Bought the 28 Chrysler roadster in 1990. Been playing with the two of them ever since. Chuck
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

I'm only 39, but I've been saying that for a little over 25 years... My Dad just turned 67, but I recall that he started counting backwards when he turned 8o some 13 years ago. Hope this helps you to understand where some of us are coming from! Regards,
