Might as well keep this thing going! I was 10 when my 57 Bird was built in January. My first car was a 57 Fairlane 500 312 automatic and a little later had a 55 Crown Vic for several years before getting stupid and selling it but I have hung onto the Bird that I got in 1971. I've never been without a Y-Block in something since I was 15.

I'll be 52 in March. My older brother gave me his 55 crown vick when I turned 16. Had a 272, automatic and duals with Hollywood mufflers, it wasn't too fast but it sounded good. I've owned a 66 pickup, 68 torino, 69 fairlane, and I'm on my second 56 victoria.

Just turned 63 in January so I guess that make’s me an old timer, but not an old timer around y-blocks. I picked up a 55 Bird a little over a year ago and had planned to stuff a 302 into it. Fortunately I stumbled onto this forum. Anyone that spends time in this very knowledge rich forum can’t help themselves from acquiring a love and passion for the Y block. Larry

I'll be 58 years young on Feb 20th. 1st Y-Block I owned was a 1956 Monarch (Merc) 312 3 speed standard. I grew up in a Ford family. Those were the days!
