I went racing at Beaver Springs today. I made my 1st pass, and they came to my pit and said I was putting down oil the whole way up the track. I checked my oil and I was down a quart. I drove about 2 hours, 95 miles one way to get there. On the way home I used less than 1/2 a quart. I won’t have time to fix it before the shootout and perhaps not this summer. I don’t mind adding oil while I’m driving. Is there someway of putting some kind of diaper on it while at the track? What kind of material would you use? Thanks for any help or ideas. By the way it would be the rear main seal. Dennis

Dennis, I wonder if you got blamed for someone else's oil down. Also, it they didn't clean up the track afterwards there couldn't be much oil on the track. If you were to install meteor's kit, you would have the pan off, you're only minutes away from replacing the rear seal. If you don't see a small puddle when you park the truck, I wouldn't worry about it and go ahead and run it at the shootout.
