Yeah, I always have a spot where I park. When I put the G heads on the 239 block, I used a 272/292 gasket kit. The 239 side seals are different, so I reused the old ones.

Dennis, I recall a note in Y-Block Magazine from Jerry Christenson. He was at a shootout and suffered a rear main seal leak. He said he "Pampered" his car and was to finish the day's racing.

I kinda remember somebody doing something like that. I couldn’t have told you it was Jerry. I’ll take a look under and see what I can rig up.

To me, a quart every 200 miles is a serious leak

I talked to my machinist today to see who he could recommend without pulling the engine. I’d have to pull the engine to do it and I just don’t have time in the next month. I have a stress test this Friday, so I’m hoping everything goes well.

Dennis, does your truck have a different front suspension/steering system? On my truck, pulling the oil pan is a piece of cake. Don't have to pull the engine. Maybe you don't have to pull the engine.

My pan would come off easily enough, it’s just my schedule in the next 4 weeks is busy. I found a garage that will do it for me, sounds like he’s a Ford guy. I don’t know if they’ll find anything during my stress test, my remaining brother is in the hospital with a leg infection. Just too much going on right now. I need to find a neoprene seal and 239 side seals for the mechanic.

Dennis, I have a pair of 239 side seals. Say the word and I'll put them in the mail to you.
