The auto transmission is operated by the shift on the steering column. I can hook up a micro switch for the backup lights I think The smaller tube on the steering column is the one that operates the shifting and has the triangle with the nub on the bottom.

Now I can see what has happened. The Steering Box has been replaced with a late model Power Steering Box which means you can not use the Original Neutral Switch. I don't have anything to suggest how to hookup a Neutral Switch. Maybe someone else has a suggestion. How do You operate the Transmission? Floorshift?

Those Pictures appear to Me to be inside the Car? I don't recognize anything except the Brake Pedal and  Master Cylinder Push Rod. It looks to Me like Someone has really made a mess of the Steering Column.

NO it does not look like either. It look like 2 tubes running down from the steering wheel to the floor with the large one(1.5") on the bottom and the smaller one(.5") on top and at the end of the small one 1 to 2 inches from the floor is the mechanism to turn the switch. I will take a picture on Wednesday Thanks for the help.
