Does anyone know the Size of Frost Plug used to plug the Block when the Road Draft Tube is removed? I did One Years ago and someone on the Site knew the proper Size, Can't find that Info

Do the bolt holes go completely into the inside?  On a side mounted road draft tube, a plate is usually used.  You can make one up yourself using the gasket for sizing and a piece of aluminum

The Bolt Holes go through to the Crankcase. I used a 1 1/4" Plug and added 2 Bolts with Washers that overlap the Plug so it can't come out.

If you are worried that it might come out, aren't you worried that it may go in? oldcarmark (11/8/2018)54 Victoria 312;  48 Ford Conv 302, 56 Bird 312

Got a part #? Found it. B5S-6869-A. Originally a T-Bird Part to block off opening in Block with rear Draft Tube on Birds.

Here's an ebay listing for it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-FORD-THUNDERBIRD-B5S6869A-1955-1957-55-56-Y-BLOCK-CRANKCASE-BLOCK-OFF-PLATE-/311350594328 It's considerably more than a freeze plug but I would trust it more.
