Both, but I don't think the axle is a big drop... And the springs have been reset as well.  installed telescopic shocks, front anti sway bar and just recent a steering damper. Runs like a champ! http://forums.y-blocksforever.com/uploads/images/a385ef00-fc45-4bbd-9f2f-4e88.jpg

Does it have a front drop axle or just big and little tires?

Hey, I was just looking at your post and these photos on the Ford Barn early V8 forum. I like that pickup too. From the U.S.to Africa to Australia has to be the one of the most traveled 38 ever.

Went over to a mate place on the weekend he was playing with these two  38 - 37's ..  The red 38 came from the U.S. but is right hand drive, originally from Africa and now in Western Australia,
 its been around!..

Mark;
I know what you are saying. I am very satisfied with my 08 Tundra (made in Texas!) for towing my aluminum dovetail car hauler. If you do get a new tow vehicle, we have parking for that too here.

Ron,
Thanks for the offer. Seems like a great time and I will keep it in mind. Wish there was a better route from the coast to Bishop. Maybe it's time to think about a tow vehicle of some kind. My Ranger has the trailer tow package and limited slip but still too much of a weakling to cut that mustard. The seller towed it here with his 6.0 V8 scruby 3/4 ton and it was working pretty hard.

Mark;
You should plan on coming back with either the 37 or your Bird for our big Fall Colors Car Show the first week in October. We had 350 cars last year. You could stay at our place if you want. Registration for the car show is on our website www.owensvalleycruisers.com

Ha! I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Sunday night in Bishop. Had to get to the bank for a wire transfer to the sellers. We put it on a trailer in Independence Monday morning and headed for Santa Cruz. The sellers drove the 37 up to Bishop every couple weeks to shop. Surprised you haven't seen it. Nice to revisit the "other" California, forgot how beautiful the mountain crests against the blue sky are. It was a fun trip.

MAN! What a great find and less than an hour from where I live!! A really beautiful 37. When I finish mine we will have to get them together so they can get to know one another!
