I understand the flat white hi temp for the headers but we did have chrome back then. Your car is definitely a high end build (for the late 50's early 60's) so chrome would not be out of place. Just my thoughts. Love what you are doing with it! Chuck

Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

Right now the headers are HTC coated which has a newer look to them. I may have to add more tubing to the flange area to get them to exit where I want so they would be mis matched colors if that happens. Chrome would be very cool but out of my budget. We have a powder coated donating his talents to will probably get the high temp white treatment when all said and done.

Got the disc brakes put together finally. Used a pair of original '51 scruby to start with and had to machine them to take the discs. After two trips to the machine shop they go them right and the bearings fit. The bigger news is the car is now in Ventura at JG Design & Fabrication. They will be handling the suspension build both front and rear. Looking forward to working with Justin and the gang. Lots of progress pics to come very soon.

It appears that you or a previous owner did some repairs on the front cross member. If it is not to late, can you post some pictures of the front cross member?
I am curious how the lower A-frame was attached to the cross member.
Thank You for sharing your project with us

Hey Mainline, the car is about five hours from me and the front end is now off the car. I can get some pics later for you when I pick it up in a couple of months. Sorry. Unless you are near Ventura Ca. you can check it out in person.
