I drilled and tapped the block. However, the AC valve cv726 mentioned in the post isn't made anymore, and they go for around $30.00 on epay, one person had it at 150.00

Crazy huh... NAPA quit making their replacement version. I went to 4 other stores looking for that valve, each place broke out their books and couldn't find one like it either.

The closet one is NAPA's part CRB29255, it looks just like the AC part but it flows the opposite direction. So, I drilled and tapped a 1 inch carb-spacer, screwed the threaded side of the valve to it, and put a nipple in the block. It looks pretty clean, and my Holley pretty much hides the valve completely. I can try and post a pic here in a day or so.

Another good reason to install a PCV and block the road draft tube is you won't have that gas smell in the garage after it sits for a day.I installed one on mine using the T-Bird valley pan.I have a 390 Holley which has a hookup for a PCV valve.I used a PCV from a 78 or so Zephyr/Fairmaont 4 cylinder.Works well. The first PCV I used from a 302 Ford flowed too much air at idle and really messed up the idle mixture.Trial and error.
