9.960 / 219 km/h at the first run and then in the second our new torque converter broke and rest of the runs were quite hard to do. Could not use the trans brake cause converter locked at 2000 rpm totally and starts were bad. But, we opened the turbo screw about 1/8 turn and trap speeds were better now thus starts were so bad . Two weeks to get the converter fixed to final round of the series... Dirty Old Man going against young lady driver... She won .

So it was the torque convertor not a turbo problem. Which convertor were you using? Hopefully they will stand behing their product after such a small amount of runs. Faster and Faster we go! I can't help but think how fast you will go when all problems are fixed and the car is dialed in. Those dragster better watch out because there's an altered Y-Block closing in on them. Chuck
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

Our new 8" is someones used . It was last time used back in early 90's. Brand is unknown but it worked very well before it locked up. We just have to get it fixed. Here is some photos about this weekend. We lost to that '34 and then it was time to go home... See that 11.80 dial in on the body. Jyrki drove 11.83 at the first round and this was 11.68 and he broke. That 11.80 was due that broken torque converter which didn't allow us to race normally... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb24E4BdhXA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elm73ATrPS0&list=UUxZ94DRcBfpz0DstGIV1_QA&index=1&feature=plcp

Most of the regulars are at Columbus, Racing, this weekend, so let me say OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys have been making progress everytime those chevy parts don't let you down. Good luck tomorrow and maybe the fresh air will allow an even quicker time. How much boost? Have you thought about some sort of scoop to direct air to the turbo inlets?

This is what happened today... And Jyrki lost that one due huge breakout! Our dial was too gentle . And we lost propably right head gasket due 1.5 bar / 21 psi of boost ... So, 8.723 with iron heads and only 292 cid +0.030 overbore. Videos will come later as usual.
