Ted, the grooves are 1 mm wide and 0.75 mm deep and we use 0.041" wire so it is about 0.3mm above surface and we use 1mm thick copper gaskets.

Little update to our engine. We were at the road trip to Fagersta in Sweden with four cylinder heads. There SwedeKarla did an excellent job doing the O-ring grooves to our heads and now we can add some boost to our engine without blowing gaskets. Here is some pics about the trip. First one is where Håkan is torquing our head to his cnc machine. Second is where head surface is been straightened before making grooves. Third is where drill bit is making grooves to head. Fourth is where Håkans friend Ari, Håkan himself and Jyrki are checking the final product and then there is of course picture of Jyrki and Håkan having beer after job well done BigGrin!
