Maybe not, but i just couldnt think that removing the  bell housing bolts/trans bolts could be complicated enough to require a question on it, unless he,s messing with us? More info on members backgrounds, age, etc can be a help in understanding situations.Smile Just a suggestion.

Strange one Bill

His other posts refer to more technical items such as manufacturing manifolds himself, and then he can't unbolt a transmission.

No punctuation in any posts either so it is difficult to read at times

va lincoln

drivetrain (engine & tranny) was pulled out of pickup truck.

i bought it still all bolted together and brought it home.

i DID unbolt tranny from bellhousing first.

why not? this thing weighs a ton.

bellhousing is cast iron.

tranny and tailshaft are cast iron.

i got to move this around to clean it.

yblock billy

starter came off with accessories.

carb, generator, dist, fuel pump and various lines.

that's my bellhousing in attachment in every detail.

screen on back, mounts, round access holes and odd shaped opening on drivers side.

yep. it's a y block.C1TE heads.

have a nice day!
