You are correct. The early FE pumps work great. Most aftermarket shops have them in Holley etc. I use a stock pump for a HiPo 427 on mine. Chuck in NH
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

Kid: Do you have vacuum wipers? All the pumps mentioned above are without the vacuum booster. If you need the booster, you'll have to pony up the $90 for the replacement.

Mine was blowing oil out pretty bad, I found two new FE pumps on ebay super cheap. The arm looks identical, also the bolt flange. I mocked up both pumps today, one even fits up to a hardline going to a garbage can filter. Looks like it fits just fine.
thanks, Mark

I am a little confused, I tried putting a 54 double acting fuel pump on my 56 292 which is installed in my 54 Merc, and found the 54 bolts were too small in dia. and would not cover the hole for the fuel pump arm, it was like the pump was upside down.
