I’ll add that I did the dyno tests for two different sets of Y passenger car headers for Jerry and both sets are on the top for HP numbers for all the passenger car headers that were tested.  Jerry even addressed those back tubes that are cracking at the flanges on other headers and looks like he had a fix for that.  I recently sent back the prototype headers per Jerry’s request so that’s a good sign that header production is in the foreseeable near future.

To those waiting on the passenger car headers. An extended illness in Jerry Jardine's family has prevented him from working on the headers.

Hopefully everyone will be well soon and Jerry can get back to work. I'm certain he is ready to get back to work but for now his thoughts are elsewhere.

The headers you see in the pictures are proto-types and have yet to be tested on the dyno. Some changes may still be made. 1 change will be another set with 1-5/8" primaries. The #8 tube will be lowered if possible to make more room for a brake booster.

As to every possible application they might or might not fit only time will tell. We don't have a yard with every model Ford ever made with a Y-Block to test fit. Futhermore, add in the modifications that have been made with various brake boosters ect. and there is really no way of knowing.

A 55 model was chosen because the engine compartment is tighter than the 57 and later models. Theroetically, if they fit a 55 they should fit later models, but until it is actually tried there is no way to know.

John; my stock 292 2bbl with Holley 500 cfm runs smooth as silk. It's a driver and I go wherever I want to with it. Once upon a time i put a set of 3-dueces on it for fun but could never get them to stop stumbling and runas smooth as my 2bbl.I yankedthem back off and went back to my stock intake.

Now I'm thinking about putting your low-rise 4bbl intake on it just because I think it looks cool. Two questions for you:

Will my stock 292 run really smooth as a driver with your 4bll intake or will I get into the stumbling kind of issues I had with the deuces?

Secondly, how large of a 4bbl Holley would you reccommend on your 4bbl low rise?

I am a complete novice here and only want a driver to cruise with.

Welcome Edd and Happy 4th to you. I don't have an answer to your questions but may I suggest that you start a new thread for your subject so it gets exposure it deserves by having a heading of it's own.

Just my 1¢.

......Are you going to test the dyno mule with same combination that you did all the other test and make sure it is making the same power as a previous test?
Yes.  Here’s the link to the post in the technical section that gives more detail.
