Station Wagon third members (as are T-Birds, I think) are different than passenger cars.

Are you guys looking for a complete rear or just a ring gear and pinion. I have quite a few NOS ring sets for a 56 passenger rear. If anyone is interested, I can look through them and see if I have a 3.22.

As to what vehicles use what 9" rear end, I am no expert. The fellows here that answered my original question are the experts. I do know that they come in varying widths. All I can tell you for certain is that the rear end I used came out of a 1957 Ford passenger car. We used the whole assembly with my backing plates and drums. We used new brake lines and hoses but the wheel cylinders were near new so not replaced. I am lucky enough to have a friend who's really good at setting up rear ends. For my part, I got to do a lot of cleaning and painting of the new assembly.

I finally put in a 9" from a 1957 car. Simple bolt in with only change being to the length of the drive shaft. There may be someone out there supplying these stock gears but we couldn't find them in a timely manner.
