It's been a long day of work (Fun) but the chassis and body panels are painted, next thing is to assemble the old boy, wire and plumb. This week and next are going to be full as we, Charlie and I, have a meeting with the Gold Coast Roadsters on Tues. night (three hour drive each way) then the Yellow Brick needs to be readied for El Mirage on the 14-15th and this guy needs to be ready for Eagle field on the 22nd. Wish us luck! Greg, thanks for the complement! You're right, that is where the money went. Kathy bringing me my reward for a hard days work.

They used drums in the old days, no drag like with discs. What pull? It's a solid axle.

Tim The drum brakes will hold the car at the starting line better than disk, and if fitted to the drum for full contact, will stop it just fine. We ran a car like yours before everybody started using transbrakes and with disk you could not bring the RPM's up without the car creeping out of the stage beams. Good looking car.

Using drums front and rear on the Falcon, if they will stop a 3800 lb Fairlane, then they should stop a 2800 lb Falcon.

You know the "Yellow Brick" has drums only in the rear too.

Y-Guys Tim & Charlie: Two things, on the drum brake deal, Reed, my son, used 2 "long" shoes on each wheel, of his Gran National, to help hold it when building "boost"..... Secondly, do I remember a "Yellow Brick" taking a tour of the sand trap, at Columbus, a while back!!!! Keep at it Tim, Looks great....... Bill
