That's great! You should do a how to post for the headers.

Charlie, I'm not sure that these deserve a how to just yet, they are just cobbled together more for fit than function. This was my first effort at making headers and a lot of pipe wound up in the scrap pile. The problem that I had was getting the two sides to match and as is, one side is still longer and exits at a different angle. I am already thinking about building a second set using things that I learned from these. One idea that I have is to mount a block and heads on an engine stand and build a jig that can be bolted to the block. This will allow me to work both sides at the same time. One thing that I learned on these is that you need to cut a right and left pipe at the same time before you weld them up or you'll never get them the same. These are round flange 1 3/4", I want to use square flanges on the next set with step primaries 1 3/4 up to 1 7/8. But rest assured that Jerry C has nothing to fear about me becoming his competition.

I'm with you Chuck, he's pretty good with a computer. I'd bet none of those pictures he shows us are real.

I seem to remember seeing a truck but cant be sure it was that one. Didn't look (or run) as good as he claims. I wonder if he borrowed one for my visit just to continue the scam? Chuck in NH

I walked right in to this one! Actually, it's looking pretty good right now. But there's still a month for something to happen.

Thanks for the offer Bill and Charlie, but still to much other stuff to do. I have to build a transmission, rear end, buy axles, slicks, and a driveshaft. Ted offered to loan me the engine that the Church Bros have been using in their T Bird. I'll just keep plugging away and maybe it will be ready next spring so I can run it at the local tracks some before hauling it to Columbus. It would be a bummer to tow all the way up there and have in not perform. Chuck, I have your stuff boxed up and I am going to bring some more parts that maybe I can make a buck on. If anyone needs anything that I might have give me a call (334) 227-3004 and I will bring it to save on shipping.
