I've noticed a lot of you Y-Block guys have stated you're in like you're 60's...Crazy I'm thinkin' I may just be the youngest one here. I've always been one of the youngest when I was part of m rumble bee sites, mustang sites, chargers sites etc... Than again, that was back when I was in my mid teens. I'm now 21....

How old are ya'll?

Almost twice that old...w00t Turning 40 soon Smile. Really, Apache, you can go and peek each others profiles and some of us have provided that info there. But... there seems to be lot's of sexy senior citizens over there Tongue. No dirty old mens...

The first time I got in touch with Y-blocks was when I met with yfreak57 or teros292 somewhere during the year of 1997 or 1998. So, you must consider me as a newcomer or newbie or something like that. The first Y-block overhaul I did just couple of years ago in 2007...BigGrin So, I'm learning all the time...

Well let me put it this way, I bought a new 1967 Ford LTD 2dr ht when I was 20 yrs old so you figure it out, I can't count that high. By the way that was the best car that I've ever owned. I put 221,000 miles on it before I sold it in 1985, burnt a valve at about 90,000, had to replace one muffler and tailpipe, the other side was still orginal equipment. That 390 four barrel was pretty stout too.

So far I'm the youngest I'm 20 will be 21 in November. I bought my 57 Fairlane when I was 17 for only $5,000 towed it home rebuilt the carb that afternoon adjusted the brakes and drove it on the weekends. Now I've taken it apart and rebuilding it the right way. I may be young, but I’ve worked in a couple prestigious Hot Rod shops long enough to realize I’m not going to do it for a career lol

Not my dads 57 Fairlane nor my grandfathers, young guns are taking over ! REBELLIOUSENGINEERING.COM

I'm 55, first time down the track was at Columbus in '05. Never been to a drag race before even as a spectator. Having a blast. Bought the truck in January of 1978.
