Last year when I put my newly-rebuilt 292 back into my 57, I found out the aftermarket CRT distributor wouldn't fit without me doing some tweaking to the firewall. It's a nice original looking car so I really didn't want to start cutting things up to make room. The original distributor went back in it's place. Still though I thought it would be nice to have something putting out a little stronger spark. I tried the pertronix but wasn't very happy with it. That's when I started digging through old posts here. Before long I went deep down the rabbit hole of duraspark conversions. It turned out that I already had the desired distributor for doing this conversion, so after ordering the required parts from Rock auto, I swapped everything out using the instructions I'd found in old posts on here. Happy to say it starts and runs great. I never would've been able to do this without the help of all you folks who know a lot more about this that I do!
