These things are like "The Cat eating the grinding stone" you just have too hang in. Takes a lot of time and money, but in the end it is worth it. Good luck with your project.

Im jealous! Our sunliner was REALY bad when I got it. It was a long project for us, but my now wife and I did a body off... it was a LOT of fun, and it was a great project! Yours will be sweet when done. Good luck, and keep the pics coming!

Wondering if you drilled holes in the lower corner of the cross member? The new repo's have a drain hole Ford forgot to put them in. Gerry

Hi Mr y block don, Im doing a body off on a 54 mercury monterrey 2 dr ht. I need to get the front crossmember from this place in okla. How did you weld yours in? Mig, Tig, Buzz box? How did you remove it? Did you cut off the angled front frame horn? Thanks a lot.54 Merc Mike

we cut it with a torch slowly then after it was out i took a grinder (small one) and gound off what was left then slid the new one in to where the old one was and took several measurments from side to side and front to back to make shure it was square in the frame then we just migged it in
