Just put a dual feed summit 600 cfm carb on my 292 and the fuel line hits the coil. looking for solutions. My coil mounts sideways. Thanks

Use a bracket like this and mount it parallel to the valve cover.

45* fuel fittings are also made: Might "clear" the coil as-is.

For various reasons I can't use the original coil mount on my 'Bird so it's mounted to the firewall.  Less vibration and possibly cooler,  both good things.

Is it better to mount the coil in a vertical position if possible?

Positioning the coil in an upright position is an option.

I thought all coils were oil filled although different coils may use different kinds of oil.
