I used one from Harbor Freight. After removing the center bolt it almost fell off and it was original to the engine. Remember to lube the screw on your puller. good luck

I recently bought a TBird balancer puller tool from Casco.  Worked like a charm. While you are at it, buy the installation tool as well.  http://www.classictbird.com/

Your pictured damper looks like a Thunderbird unit.
Here’s the link to a past thread regarding damper pullers for the Thunderbird dampers.

The One You  were given from the Ford Dealer looks like the One in the Picture from Shop Manual so I would think it is the One originally designed by Ford for this Application.

The T-Bird uses the Hook Type Damper Puller as opposed to the Flat Style used on Passenger Cars, See the Attached Picture from Shop Manual. It looks like the One on Yours so it may be Original. On T-Birds the double Sheave Damper was Standard.

Hello Folks,

Need help to figure out how to pull my Harmonic Balancer off.  Need to get to my internal parts on my cover, think I have a problem inside which prevents my fuel pump from operating properly.  Tried numerous pullers from the local auto parts store.  Want to prevent damaging the pulley.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'll attach a picture hopefully you guys can help me out.
