I have a 56 Victoria with a 312 hooked to the three speed transmission with overdrive. The 312 sports a Teapot. The car originally had a 292 with an automatic. My throttle linkage is a one piece shaft directly from the carburetor to the firewall mounted bellcrank. Trouble is when the accelerator is depressed the bellcrank arm hits the firewall before the carburetor fully opens. I’m told this is correct (linkage wise) but why then won’t it fully actuate the carburetor?
