these bases are very common i have 3 or 4..there are many truck bases at least 4.

i have a truck engine in my 47 mercf47,the pan is similer in apearance ,but has a door that opens when going up a hill allowing more oil to pump,the door closes when stoping radicley or going down a steep hill.years ago had 2 frends with ford trucks .1 56 1962,both had the light come on (low oil pressure) when stoping or starting fast. the fix was instaling the heavey truck flaper

Thanks  for the info Ted, I appreciate it. now that I know what I am looking for, my search may be a little easier.  Now I just have to try and find one that is not rusty and not dented.

I may be interested in selling..  I just disassembled 2 weeks ago and have not cleaned up yet. I have to wait til snow goes away to pressure wash outside. 
lots of parts to clean as soon as Spring arrives. I used a Tbird pan on my 32 Ford  that was mint if I had had something like this I wouldn't have used it.. I didn't think a pickup was deep enough and was in a rush to get running and
didn't take time to make a pan.. The 63 Super Duty was original std-std crank with 3-63 date on ford bearings   Standard bore cylinders in a dump truck so I'm pretty sure its original pan also..Looks like never apart..   Regards  Steve

Thundercat, are you interested in selling your oil pan ? I have been thinking of trying to find another one. I have to go through my parts that I have stashed at my brothers place to see if I have another one.   If I do not I may be interested in yours if it is for sale. how bad is the rust on the pan?
