As you have obviously noticed, the forum looks a bit different.  There were complaints about colors that made it difficult to see some text, issues uploading and not being able to find the login button.  Ryan Healey (owner of the company that developed the forum software) has taken us under his wing and he has worked the issues.  As you can see, we now have links back to the main site, although I think that the forums are the real heart of the site.
Look just below the text area to see the buttons for formatting, inserting pictures, etc.

Please put it through it's paces and report back (I KNOW THAT YOU WILL!). I am trying to keep this site working for all.

Jim:

Here we go again!  What can I do to view the topics under the various headings.  I don't get the finger pointer, only an arrow, and when I click on the topic, nothing happens.  There must be a way to access the topics, I'm just too dumb to figure it out.

John, you lost me on the finger pointer thing. When I click on topics, I see them.  Can you elaborate?

My thanks for the upgrade it is much easier on the AARP eyes, I was afraid to refresh because I thought it would revert. I don't have issues with selecting topics the hand works on my old IE laptop unit, haven't tried the Ipad.

Thanks for the post Jim. I was looking all afternoon for the button I thought I pushed by accident. :-) Looking good and easier on the eyes. Thanks, again, for all you do to keep this site rocking! Chuck

Jim, looking good.  When i first logged on it didn't seem to load.  I cleared all of my History and now it seems good.

Thanks guys. I understand the AARP eyes! The issues that have been addressed are
Colors - to make things easier to see.
Pictures - now able to upload again.
Login - this was partially caused by colors, the login area had text the same as the background.

I'm sure that Ryan made additional tweaks to make the forum software better. He has been most helpful.

Looks great Jim, at first I thought my computer which today has had a mind of it's own was playing with me again. Windows 8!

Haha! I can't feel your pain, I run Macs. Just wring it out, I'm hoping that the little glitches are now resolved.
