My '56 F100 272 now has a Motorcraft 2100 500 cfm 2v carb, headers, pertronix ign. and runs great. After a run on the highway, I notice that oil has been discharged from the oil draft tube and it drips a bit when initially parked. Just wondering if this is normal and if so how much oil should I expect to lose per so many miles?

Also wondering what a safe max RPM is for this stock engine?

Can you suggest a good engine manual addressing these issues?
