I have a 64 that I am doing. I personally would not go MII. Look at industrial chassis inc. They have an awesome front that is based on the Dodge Dakota. Rack and Pinion and still maintains your ability to use it as a truck. The front of an 03 and up Crown Vic works and is a fairly straight forward install but the track width is very wide and you would have to use a really off set wheel. A Jag front is also pretty easy to install. I think it is the correct width as well.

Nice truck. The rear end could be a Dana 44. It will be stamped on the axel tube close to the center facing forward. Pete
