Chuck:

I have a couple of theories on the angled plate. My first thought was to direct part of the airstream to the secondaries in a smoother flow. The other possibility is to direct flow over the top of the carb to prevent the airstream from syphoning fuel from the bowl vents. Anyone else have any information? I have always run the plate, so I don't have any experience without it.
