The 223 6 has a pcv valve that threads on the motor side, and attaches to the intake below the carb, the way you describe. If you are set on your idea thats the way to go,same era as the 292.

Ah, I see. Thank you for that information. I will look into this more. I'll probably just do the grommet thing you mentioned before.

I think you may find that the threaded PCV wont work that way.The treaded end is the outlet end NOT the input side.It will be backwards if you thread it INTO the draft tube fitting.I think I am correct in the direction of flow with that type PCV valve.

Yeah, I am planning on putting a pcv where the draft tube goes. I want to take a stock draft tube connector / housing like in my picture, and have it welded in a way that it'll accept a threaded pcv valve.

Are you putting the PCV at the back of the motor where the draft tube was or up front near the carb?

You can do the same thing with a grommet and plastic type elbow like Ford used to use on the oil fill cap to aircleaner connection.Unless that original type has a baffle in it for oil control. The late style valley cover that you have has a baffle in it.

Late F-100 & F-250 trucks with 292's had that piece already set up as a PCV port, find one of those and you only need to install it.
