Anyone who appreciates old cars must find this video very interesting. By being stored in a solid building with thick solid walls the ravages of time have passed over them with minimum damage. The low mileage is fantastic. I'm sure the collectors will drive the prices over the top on these cars. It appears to have been closed in the 60's with the pace car Vette being added later. I'm glad I'm not a scrub lover as this auction would drive me nuts with desire to own one.
Did you ever see the LMC truck feature on a low mileage 70's Ford pickup? I think it was in the now defunct "Legendary Ford" magazine. I called them to ask how they found such low mileage vehicles. Talked to the owner son. He said that a dealer in the midwest started purchasing a new vehicle at the end of each sales year. He would order the exact color and options that made up his best seller of the year. These vehicles were stored in a large barn. Unfortunately the old barn was drafty so all of the vehicles on the sunny side were near perfect. While the ones on the shady side had some moisture damage. His dad bought as many good ones as he could. The build sheet for the pickup was still under the seat and not even yellowed with age. Still pure white.
These are the kind of stories that make us want to check out all the old dealerships, barns and storage shed we see! Good hunting. Chuck
