Anyone who appreciates old cars must find this video very interesting. By being stored in a solid building with thick solid walls the ravages of time have passed over them with minimum damage. The low mileage is fantastic. I'm sure the collectors will drive the prices over the top on these cars. It appears to have been closed in the 60's with the pace car Vette being added later. I'm glad I'm not a scrub lover as this auction would drive me nuts with desire to own one.
Did you ever see the LMC truck feature on a low mileage 70's Ford pickup? I think it was in the now defunct "Legendary Ford" magazine. I called them to ask how they found such low mileage vehicles. Talked to the owner son. He said that a dealer in the midwest started purchasing a new vehicle at the end of each sales year. He would order the exact color and options that made up his best seller of the year. These vehicles were stored in a large barn. Unfortunately the old barn was drafty so all of the vehicles on the sunny side were near perfect. While the ones on the shady side had some moisture damage. His dad bought as many good ones as he could. The build sheet for the pickup was still under the seat and not even yellowed with age. Still pure white.
These are the kind of stories that make us want to check out all the old dealerships, barns and storage shed we see! Good hunting. Chuck

It got stupid with people paying crazy money for parts cars, after people started watching the Barrett Jackson auctions people were thinking their junk was gold and now that auction company actually got gold prices for junk. They did what they were supposed to and got all the money they could for their customer but I think they might have created a big monster with this auction, there were a few of the trade ins that sold cheap but most went for way too much money.

Unbelievable that the 58 Cameo sold for $140K with 1.3 miles on it. With that being said I'll bet the most knowledgable "retarted car judges" could find at least 25-30 things wrong with the truck as not original as they were all on the assembly line putting them together.

In one shot of the Cameo it looked like something had fallen on it. The center of the front roof area and visor looked dented. Chuck

I found mine last year. While mine has just under 31K miles, it looks every bit as good as this one but I didn't pay anything near his asking price plus I got two more doors. And did I mention mine is a Fairlane?

I was looking at the results today and alot of the trade ins went for too much money too, there were two 49 to 51 mercs which were 4 doos and very rusty and went for 7000 and 7500 plus a rough looking 58 ranch wagon went for around 8000.
