I found this on some site called the hot rod company. They say Demon is to release this in December. It is a direct replacement for stromberg 97, or holley 94.

Rather go with the new 97's despite their price. At least they look like 97's.

I just looked up Barry Grants' site and found this new Demon Carburetor. They were priced at about 425 Dollars each. The primary has the choke and the idle adjustments and the ends are without. Sounds like a good setup, but to me, they seem very expensive. I don't know what the new 94's cost, but if it is this costly I think I will wait.

Thanks, I have an old Offy(I know they do not flow well) triple manifold with Holley 2110's and am using it for a door stop. When I was pricing the Barry Grant carbs my wife looked at me and commented."you already have enough different carburetors to stack them all together and build some kind of modern art statue" I don't think she yet understands this obession. Oh, well, at least she doesn't give me a hard time about it . I have a selection of four barrels to play with when I finally get my new motor built. I think that is the way to go for me with a touring street machine. However, If you ever decide to sell your setup let me know. Ha, Ha

Cactus, I'm also not trying to sell anything here, I run a Barry Grant Demon on a 408" Windsor in a pro street Ranger. It puts any Holley I ever owned to shame. I admit the prices seem high (but then all prices seem high to me anymore) but under an air cleaner it will look "Vintage" and according to what I've heard, They work. No leaks, no reset the idle three times a day etc. etc.

There’s an in-depth article on the Barry Grant “Demon 98” 2X3 carbs in the September 2007 issue of Rod and Custom (page 26) and they are being fitted on a Y. And ditto on what Frank said about the problems around using those old carbs. And here’s a pic of what they look like on a Y intake.
