Fun to see AND hear how impressive the Yblock sound is compared to the other cars.

What a blast this would be to be a participant. Here I go, living vicariously again!

Carson, congratulations, again. First in class. Must be your navigator.
Smilefor those who need to be told something is a joke.
Found a clip of the 54 in a high speed section
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCBteKQFf_4&NR=1&feature=endscreen

about 2:15 into the video

As I recall the engine is 3.77 bore, 3.37 stroke= 301 cu in
6.250" H Beam rods, Y292S cam, ported G heads, B-T intake.
1.54:1 stock rockers, Probe forged pistons. Don't remember the dome size.
Power numbers Carson quoted are rear wheel

Thanks for reposting!

I do believe that I'm getting hung up on LCP!

The engine is the finest sounding one of all the clips out there on utube!

What speeds are you hitting during that segment?

Greetings, JM is right .. one can have the fastest car and be a wheel man but when your navigator makes a mistake it can take you out of competition ( penilty time added to you speed time ) or take you over a cliff. This happened this year as five cars went into a very steep gully on top of each other.

I would guess our top speed in that one clip was around 100mph. my speed indicator is in kms as is the navigators odometor to measure time + distance and keep track of where we are in the route book.

Our top speed of the week was on a long straight toward the checkered flag we hit 205kms ( 125 mph )  and when I lifted at the finish line the power steering belt flew off , luckily there was more straight to whoa her down .

Lauren will try and finish up her blog  and post more in car video this weekend.

giddy up
