Now that I have sold a car I have the money to build the 292 and need to know if there are any machine shops in or around Ohio that really knows Y blocks and what to do to them,I am not going to use any local machine shops since they probably have not worked on any in years. I talked to a local who is a well know racer who builds motors and he admitted its been over 20 years since he built one so I want someone who has recently worked on one,I used a local cheap shop with the 235 I have in my 37 Chevy p/u and it needs to come apart due to something not right.

Ted,

I was going to say that! Roger builds and has built Fords for the best part of 40 years. 90% of the race motors in northeastern Ohio come from his shop. How do I know? I grew up in the Canton area.

Also, maybe a little closer to your part of Ohio would be Harry Hutten, He has a shop in the Cinnci area.

I was hoping one would be a little closer to Dayton but since I dont trust too many around here it might be worth the trip.

Harry is just outside of Cincinnati. I'm sure he could be a great help. He should be lurking here someplace. I think he's hhutten40 on the forum.  Chuck
