Jeff: Unless the transmission is removed and the crank flange checked for markings, or the pan is removed & the main caps checked for stamped letters, there is no way to determine for sure the engine is a 312,.. cause the block castings in most cases were the same for 292s. Can you check it out & post what you find?

I need a running motor for my truck while rebuilding another over the next 12 months... iI could transfer some good heads... is the compression good?

Also, are you willing to strap it down good to a skid or in a crate and get it to a local freight depot or business with a loading dock?

Cheers... Brian

I am dropping the price for this nice engine to $500.00. This is a good engine and it does run stong, just don't have a need for it anymore. you can call me at 606-376-3149

I bought this engine with hopes of planting it into my 1954 Mercury, but I sold the Mercury. The 312 came out of a 1957 Ford Fairlane. I was told that it came from a 57' Thunderbird, but it is missing the water pump spacer.

The engine runs strong, but it needs valve seals replaced in the heads.

Asking $700.00 firm and you pick it up. call me at 606-310-3149
