Well, this is the weekend. The weather looks favorable, and with all of the help from you guys my "Couple of Nags" are for the most part gone. So, it is time to relocate my car from Chambersburg, PA to Cleveland, Ohio. I'm likely to be a little thinner once I get there as I am going to transport the top on the car and after five hours of driving I should come out about "medium well."

I've made a list of things I should take with me. Are there any suggestions for something that is easily overlooked?

Run premium fuel.  That should keep you away from any alcohol related problems.  Stay hydrated and good luck!

I drove my bird down to Tucson from Sedona at 104°F - but low humidity. Wore a "boonie" hat - soaked - with a quart bag of ice cubes under it! Brought a cooler for spare ice. Just kept reloading.....

My wif followed in the truck (with the tool box, water jugs and spare whatever) - and smiled out from air-conditioned comfort.

I drove my 56 TBird from NJ to Oregon and back. Great trip, two quarts of oil and gas at 4.00 bucks a gallon.. You will never know what the USA is like unless you go by car. Magnificent!!!!

Points, condenser, fuel pump, fan belts. Radiator hoses would be a good idea too. Duct tape. Tools to change any of these.

I MADE IT!

The only not too catastrophic event was the chrome ring that adorns my power brake pedal fell off. 

The car ran great, none of the Cokers fell off, the hard top stayed with the car, and all went extremely well. It was a bit warm but with all vents and windows open and at speed it was bearable.

Thanks for all your help. That's what made the trip go as well as it did.
