Dennis can you tell me what your starter is again? After 3 times i might remember, sorry.

Oggie, Are you asking about the Ford FE series (352, 390, etc.) starter I'm using with the Flat-o http://flat-o.com/carproducts/yblock.htmadapter for my C-4 or the mini-starter http://www.autoelec.com/ that I suggested to you to help for clearance for your steering box?

I don't believe the FE starter will bolt up to your bell housing? I think I remember you are using a 4 speed?

As for remembering, That's "Old Timers Disease"

Good hearing from you,

Nice work on the valley cover. It should keep it sealed. I have one of Mummert's covers and have thought of adding some fasteners to it for the same reason. Here is a photo from today of my 312 in progress.

Dennis they are THOMAS covers with the name milled out and badges pinned in, a common practice here in the old days, Eddie Thomas was a drag racer, machine shop/ parts manufacturer and all round good egg hes well into his 80's and still has input in to the company. He made 3x2 intakes as well, our friend Maurice (good captain) used to work for him, cheers oggie

Oggie, Nothing new here. Where did you get those valve covers with the Ford Oval on them? Something a little different than what we see here.

Oggie does things a bit different, being upside down and all... besides I see Mummert's heads in his future.

It looks like you're using a pair of mismatched heads. It's not a big deal, but you'll have to pull the threaded plug from the front of the head on the left in the picture, and you'll have to plug the rear hole on that same head.
