Rich, congratulations. I saw on the Carlisle website Dan Bauer got a first with his red and white 55 wagon. Doug, I'll be there. Now if we can only get the guy to take it home with him.

Hey Dennis, Glad to hear you got 1st place. I didn't win anything for the Carlisle show but took a 3rd place trophy in the Crown Victoria club. Had a great time. Did pick up some chrome goodys for under the hood. Rich.

Hi Dennis, I am glad the flag still flys. Please bring it to Columbus this year if you come. Doug T. P.S. I couldn't remember the thread pitch on the rocker adjusters, are you guys sure it is 20 and not 24 TPI? Anyhow that doesn't matter as much as the fact that I forgot the rocker ratio needed to be included. I have in fact gotten 2 old Y's running quietly by pulling the rocker shafts and then grinding the face of the rockers with an angle grinder so that the wear surface was flush with the ground surface. That way a feeler gauge can be used. It sounds a little rough and ready but both engines ('64 & '56 Pickups) gave many thousands of miles service after that treatment.

Dennis, if I`d have been there, I`d have owned it! By the way, my family tree comes from Greencastle PA. (south of Chambersburg) Always wanted to go back and look up some long lost relatives. (someday)

Pops, we stay at Pine Grove Furnace State Park. We get to sleep in our own bed too. Here's a shot from friday, we're up on the hill. Doug, still using your flag, thanks.

I'm sorry that I missed this thread. I live just down the road from Carlisle in Chambersburg. and attended it on Saturday and Sunday. I would have like to have met some of you guys. I was lucky enough to get third place for my '56 T-Bird and also received the Celebritiy's choice award for it. Had a great time and slept in my own bed both nights.

Mr. consistency. Combine that with your tree skills and you are unbeatable!
