In the 60's Ford did a cross country caravan which featured fancy car haulers with the current models and some of their show cars that would go from city to city on a promotion tour. What did Ford call this deal. GM had a simillar thing they called Motorama. I have seen pictures and read about it but darned if I can remember.

I will have to check to be sure but I believe it was the "Fords Calvocade of Custom Cars". There is an article about it in the last issue of Legendary Ford Mag. It is the feature on the "Italien" T-Bird. T he sad thing is I just read this about a week ago and I can't remember, I must have contracted the "Lon Argent, Old Age Desease" Rob (I think:unsure

I'm not sure about what ford called their deal, but chevy had what was called the "chevy show". I remember seeing it in a round format, like the I max shows now. You got dizzy, felt like you were behind the wheel. This was in the 60s, see ya, Mark
thanks, Mark

Royce: I was leafing through some old Hot Rod magazines and was looking at some pictures of a car show in the May '63 issue. There were a couple cars pictured from the "Ford Custom Caravan". Maybe this is what you are referring to? Or maybe it was really Rob's version, and Hot Rod shortened the title to save some money on ink. John

John, As usual, you are right my friend. It was called the "Ford Custom Caravan". And Y-Blockhead is correct, what you you have forgotten is more than I will ever have known! If I could aquire a 1/4 of your knowledge I will be fine Rob

You guys are too kind. I seem to have a penchant for remembering things from 40 or 50 years ago, but don't ask me anything about last week! John

Hey Rob ,I If you get to know a 1/4 of what John knows ??? Boy ,that would be way too much information for you to store ??? Where would you put it ???? I could suggest a few places ,but that wouldn't be nice to use those words on this forum ? Don't go trying to "butter up " John before Columbus . Good luck this year ,your going to need it ??? Regards Lon
