Thought it best to ask this in a separate thread. Will an Edelbrock 573 and 3 2bbls (94's) fit under the hood of a 57 Tbird? If so, what linkage changes would be needed to the stock 4bbl automatic 312 set up?

Yes it will fit . You need to get 3 seperate air cleaners for it to fit. I got Mr. Gasket Co. aircleaners. I bought my linkage from Speedway Motors. There isnt a lot of clearance but it wont bump the hood. Use a nut to hold the cleaners down. Dont use the wing nut provided. Or it will bump. The kickdown linkage isnt disturbed if you keep the pivot arm . You dont have to alter anything. Just adjustments screwing things in or out to fit. I made a piece of linkage to go from the middle carb to the pivot arm. Vintage Speed in Fla has good linkage too.

Thanks. I think I am going to go that way. Any recommendations on where to get new 94's or something equivalent? Was your linkage progressive, electric choke option?, etc. I am at sea level so will need appropriate jetting, etc. I have some FE parts to get off that should finance this.

Repops are available from Speedway motors I think. You also might investigate the Barry Grant 2 barrels - better solutuion iMHO.

I use progressive linkage. I bought the 94s on ebay and had my cousin who builds engines for nascar guys rebuild the carbs. Carburetor Rebuilders in Arizona does have carbs for sale and is fairly reasonable. If you arent in a big hurry go to swap meets and look around . You should find some cheap. I use a manual choke

Sorry...thunderstorms coming in from the bay keep knocking out the power here. Trying to watch BarrettJackson at the same time. Barry Grants look to be the ultimate but pricey. Turlock is a couple weeks away so I will look for an intake. Anyone using a PCV system with the Edelbrock 573 or still using draft tubes?

MarkMontereyBay (1/19/2010) .....Anyone using a PCV system with the Edelbrock 573 or still using draft tubes?I used a PCV valve system on an Edelbrock 553 intake with a trio of Holley 2100’s (94’s) in the late Eighties, early Nineties. Center carb was modified so it would provide ported vacuum signal only for the ’57 and up distributor and the setup worked nicely. I blocked the hole for the road draft tube at the side of the block with an expansion plug and then put the dummy road draft tube back in place just for looks.

I believe its Edelbrock that is making repo 94's. There was some info on them in HAMB

Mark, They'll fit, but air cleaner choice is critical...as for the carbs and linkage, I'd recommend Dick York (dickshotrodplace.com). I'm sure he could hook you up with a set of built carbs and linkage...he rebuilt my Holleys, added a new linkage, and detailed out my 573 to look like this:
