Haha, let's see those 6" stacks 'only cost' ~ $200 each plus the manifold and carbs, rebuild kits for six Strombergs, new style non-sinkable float, regulators, linkage, etc;... Yeh, good choice, go for the Mummert manifold.Smooooth

Gary, the old stuff looks good and I admire those that can make it run right. The last multi carb setup that I worked on was my friends 57 vette with two fours. This was back in the mid 60's and it was a constant pain in the ass. My cousin had a J3 Olds that ran good, but he was an excellant mechanic and kept it in top shape. Plus just the cost of restoring that many old carbs would put a dent in the wallet.

Sorry Glenn, I was trying to make light of the lack of available manifolds, Less has always been more for me. back in my youth we went from a tunnel ram,two 660 center squirt holleys and a toploader to an 850 double pumper, victor jr. and a glide and only slowed down 3 thenths of a second. The big plus was a whole lot less breakage. You are spending too much on your motor to be agravated by a set-up like that.

Good call Glen,  although Elwood looks pretty cool with three 94s I did a little run down the local country airport runway this weekend with the Demon 750 and Blue thunder ment for the Uni and it makes a world of difference.  Idles too, with no sticking floats. Wink

Sorry guys but I don't want to go through the problems of tuning these old setups. They look cool but one of Ted's worked over 750 Holleys will out perform any of those old systems and make life a whole lot easier. The only thing that might make me change my mind would be one of RB's injector systems, now that would look good on the Falcon. John will have some more intakes soon, so I'll just wait until he has some more unless one turns up.

Bill if it runs fast enough to need a parachuite, someone else will be driving it!

I talked with Ted yesterday, the engine is coming along nicely. He thinks we should be making smoke in a couple of weeks. I have given him a free hand within my budget, and from what he has told me, I am stoked! I can't wait too see the results on the dyno.  Still looking for a intake if anyone has a Mummert that they will part with, let me know.
