Greetings to all: Very nice Galaxie very well done. I'm not too good with this computer so I'll have to enter this info by brute force. Last year I purchased a beautifully tailored, very high quality spark plug wire set for my 64 292. Fit perfect in all the Y-block grommets as intended. The bad news is it wasn't cheap. Jim, the Y-Blocks here in Brasil never got this kind of heads. Our heads are just like the North American heads, with the two central cilinders on each head having the exhaust valves side by side.
This heads, appear to have the valves in an alternate mode, like e/a, e/a, e/a, e/a.
Bob, I don´t know about Jim, but I'm from Brasil, and have being in the States once.
This heads on the Mercado Libre (Mercado Livre in portuguese) or Free Market in english are made in Argentina. I think they are what in Argentina is called the "fase 2" or phase two Y-block.
I never saw one of those heads in person, only in pictures. I think that a USA made camshaft would not fit an engine with this heads.
Its very interesting that the central cilinders don't have the exhaust valves side by side, that's just the starter of all the discussion about the steam holes. In theory, the Argentine made Y-block phase two, would never need the steam holes at all.
I woul love to see the exhaust manifold of one of this engines.
Would it look just like a bigger version of a 302 manifold?

Jim, are you located in Argentina? Wish I could read the Advertisment... And you both write English very well. Thanks for sharing your Y-Blocks...

Verrrry Nice Ride!! Do the Y-Blocks in your country ever get these heads? They also require different exhaust and intake manifolds. http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar:80/MLA-69394168-tapa-de-cilindro-ford-v8-fase-2-para-reparar-_JM
