I need a gas cap for my TBird. Mine wont seal the tank. Any cap is good doesnt have to be NOS or show quality.

I don't know what you mean by not sealing the tank, but a Bird has to have a vented cap.

Earl ,   A stock 55 gas tank , takes a special cap , becausr of the number plate bracket ,   and is also vented..............................Sam........................P.S.  ....check is en the mail..!!

John the cap is just on the tank fitting loose and wobbling around. I think it needs to be a bit tighter? It has vibrated off before.

Tricky. Assuming an original cap, you could bend the tangs to make it fit tighter, and/or replace the gasket with a new/thicker one (if it has shrunk/worn thin). But don't lose sight of the fact that the required venting consists merely of two grooves under the gasket. Too much compression on a thick/soft gasket would likely seal them.
