Project is coming along nicely, been having good luck finding stuff we need. I know it'd be quicker to buy all this at once from a manufacturer/supplier but I am finding some good deals buying stuff individually...Just got a brand new set of NOS Federal Mogul main bearings from this guy...

Tinkers Motor Supply (214) 688-1067

He said he had a number of Y-Block bearings on hand.

Anyhow here is a list of things we still need:

cam bearings

std. con rod bearings

292 piston rings std.

water pump rebuild kit - bought a reman

oil pump rebuild kit

dist. rebuild (cap, rotor, points, condensor etc.) - pending

carb rebuild kit (Autolite ???) 2bbl

head bolts - got 'em

dist holdown - got 'em

gasket kit - have pieced together most everything, need to double check

pulley for crank, fan and fan (engine has no power accesories)

fuel pump and eccentric - pending

Thanks!

Dan,

Try eBay for the gaskets and cam bearings, I have found the there for $50 and $20 respectively. You may find other parts too.

I have a set of head bolts set aside for you, just waiting to see if I had anything elase you need.

Cool, thanks! I think that everything I need is in the above list. Been checking the ebay stuff, that is about the best price I've found on the oil pump rebuild. RockAuto.com is about $50 cheaper than Napa on a gasket set so I think I'll go there for that, thanks again for all the help!!

Dan,

Hold off on buying the gasket set, I have a bunch of misc. gasket including heads. It may not be complete but if you don't mind making a couple it should do the job. I'll get them together and send next week with the head bolts.

Dan, I have a rebuilt '57 distributor with points, condenser and cap I don't need as I have chosen a new direction.  Purchased from Auto Zone recently.  I don't have the intermediate shaft to drive the oil pump, but I am sure you can find one.  If you are interested let me know and I will send it to you.
