I’m putting my oil pan back with the Tennessee gasket in under the car. I found two issues worth mentioning. The gasket is impossible to install without gluing it to the pan. I used clear silicone sparingly around the outer edge and into the first groove.
The ARP drive has a clip which Mummert suggest adding a 5/8 washer which I did. I tried many was to get this in upside down along with oil pump, failing every time. So I’ll drop in topside without the clip and washer which is how I did it before. I really didn't know what the engineers had in mind for functionality unless it was an assembly feature to keep the shaft in place. That makes sense to me and I’ll leave it at that.
thanks for the help,
‘Richard
